Watch Downhill Speed
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Watch Downhill Speed
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
Downhill Skateboarders are usually young & male - from early teens to 40-something. Downhill skating is like surfing; carving back and forth on long downhills. It is an unrefined, street sport available to most socio-economic classes. It remains somewhat grunge in nature and very much associated with the laidback culture of California.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Cool, street-saavy, and technical
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
I would like to use the attached logo that says "Watch Downhill Speed" - then add a silouhette of a downhill skateboarder coming down the side of the sign - using the slope/angle of the sign as the hill for the skateboarder. Any other interpretations for this are also welcome.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Yellow and Black (see attached example)
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Web site, T-shirts (clothing), print
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I want to play off the California Highway signs by starting the design with the attached sign that says "Watch Downhill Speed" - same colors - then add a black silouhette of a downhill skateboarder coming down the side of the sign on the outside (or anwhere else?) - using the slope/angle of the sign as the hill for the skateboarder. Any other interpretations for this are also welcome.
I have also added a sign that has a truck coming downhill so you can get some ideas for the silouhette. Keep in mind that downhill skateboarders tuck down while coming downhill... see www.ncdsa.com logo
