About Your Company
Arctic photographer and social worker (!) in the frozen north-northern parts of Sweden needs an awesome new logo! *waves with camera* [o]\o_ :-D
Well established freelance photographer in the north-northern parts of Sweden needs a brand-new logo due to a company re-name and partial re-focus. I currently work with everything from delivering pictures from our awe-inspiring arctic nature to doing wedding shoots, working as a photographer for the mining industry and what-not. I'm pretty much a well-liked jack-of-all-trades-photographer up here... but now I’m also venturing into the trade of my university education – social work, where I will be working part time with kids/youths leading them through difficult professional conversations to make them feel better and guide them through life/school. These conversations can be had everywhere, from schools to walks/hikes in the arctic nature.
My new logo should primarily focus on delivering on the idea of a deeper and more true connection to spirit, nature and the light itself, since I will be spending more and more time deep in the wilderness (both in the deep forests and barren mountains) searching for the magic of light and locales that can be found there. But, if the impossible is possible and the logo can work wonders and be "understood" in other areas of photography such as my appointments in weddings, industry, photojournalism etc I would be awestruck! And yeah, I get that it needs to be kind of abstract if it’s about to catch the concept with “following the light” in my part-time job with professional conversations as well. What a mess of professional combinations? :-)
I have always appreciated a minimalistic design and the logo should be able to hold it's own ground and be recognizable without any text and communicate something "true" to the concept of "following the light" in both a spiritual and professional sense as primarily a photographer (and secondly as a social worker). Or maybe the logo shouId be "the text" somehow? I don't know about colors, but if colors, something warmer rather than cooler. The logo should preferably work well in black and white as well.
Some of my initial ideas have circulated around the use of rays of light (from the sun?) in combinations with the great mountains, the arctic fox or maybe the use of a raven or a owl. Maybe a bird that spreads its wings where the wings spreads out in ray of lights? Of it the logo should be in the text, a more professional "swirly" type of text perhaps? Well, gaah, you guys are the professionals here, and I would be really, *really* happy if you could help me out here… even though I know it’s asking a lot of you...
All the best! xoxo
