LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are Beth Farokhi's campaign for Georgia State School Superintendent.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are seeking a logo that will be used for the campaign's yard signs, t-shirts, website, etc. The logo needs to be clean, simple and, with the right font, evoke competence, friendliness, and professionalism.
The logo must incorporate the following language: "Beth Farokhi for State School Superintendent"
The logo should be rectangular so that it can easily be turned into a yard sign.
The logo should use only the following colors: royal blue, yellow and white. Feel free to play around with white background or blue background or split level designs.
The logo should be fairly simple in design. The ultimate goal is to increase name recognition with a quick glance at the logo. Please stay away from design add-ons that tie into education (i.e., apples, rulers, etc.). At most you may wish to try to incorporate the State of Georgia's silhouette but that may also create too much clutter.
In very, very small font across the bottom of the design, the following language must be included: "Paid for by Beth for Education Excellence, Inc."
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Voters. Voters driving by the campaign yard sign. Thus, the logo needs to be simple and crisp enough that someone can get all the basic information about the candidate and the seat she is running for from a 3 second glance at the logo.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We are open to contemporary or traditional font styles. Some clean designs we like are below.
Act Blue: http://www.actblue.com/
You can see our current campaign logo design here: http://www.bethforeducation.com
As noted below, the logo needs to emphasize "Beth" in the same font size as "Farokhi". Also, current use of yellow is too much.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
"Beth" and "Farokhi" should be the same font size and should be together bigger in size than "State School Superintendent."
"Beth" and "Farokhi" can either side by side (e.g., Act Blue: http://www.actblue.com/ or http://www.carterforstatesenate.com/ or http://www.lynchcommittee.com/) or on top of one another (e.g., http://www.gavinnewsom.com/home/ or http://www.anniseparker.com/)
Choice of font style will be critical in setting the feel of the campaign. We don't yet know what we prefer but feel free to experiment with clean contemporary fonts as well as more traditional fonts (i.e., TImes New Roman, etc.)
