What do you do?
Vibes Media is a mobile marketing company based in Chicago, offering mobile solutions that allow our clients to interact directly with their customers using their mobile phones in innovative ways. Our company does two things; we work strategically with clients to help them integrate mobile into their marketing plans (strategic services), and we develop and sell software to clients who want to run mobile marketing programs in-house (software as a service). Our software powers many of the text in to vote for your favorite player or text in to vote this person off the reality TV show that you have probably seen in a sports venue or television show.
What is your industry?
Describe your audience
Our clients are marketing professionals, often in their 30s, who must prove to their elder, more conservative bosses that Vibes will be a good fit for their mobile marketing pursuits. Therefore we need to strike a balance between a more striking logo to appeal to the initial clients and a more traditional logo that will appeal to their bosses.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate to your audience?
Though our current logo has been great for us (www.vibes.com), were looking for a fresh start, as weve been using it for more than 10 years. Our logo should exemplify both our innovative creative nature, as well as our reliable technology solutions. Our new logo will be used across the board, so it will need to scale properly, exist on many different backgrounds, be used for print and online, etc. and etc. We also go by both Vibes and Vibes Media, so a logo that allows us to seamlessly switch between the two would be ideal.
Style and Concept
What styles do you like?
We're after a social media look that's edgy, modern and professional looking all at the same time.
We like typographic logos that exist both as a clear indicator of the company name and a visually appealing graphic element. Though non-custom fonts can work, we appreciate logos that have a custom feel to them, and are not looking for a logo with a simple, easily recognizable font. In fact, when it comes to font treatments, the crowdSPRING logo is a good example of this for us.
What colors do you like or hate?
We love every color in the rainbow... even infrared.
Any other additional info? (optional)
Because were an established company that has been in the industry for more than 10 years, we need our new logo to retain some of the brand recognition from our current logo. Were not tied to any particular aspect of the logo, but there needs to be some cohesion between the two.
Though it seems like a good fit, weve never liked the idea of using the I in our name to represent a wireless signal (www.acuitymobile.com). Wed like our new logo to clearly indicate the fact that we work with mobile phones, but thats one graphic element wed like to avoid.
