A primary target audience is community of people who serve underserved populations, including doctors, allied health professionals, academics, researchers, health policy makers, funders (current or potential), general public.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1. Center seeks to partner with community members to conduct interventions to reduce disparities in cardiopulmonary diseases.
2. Center seeks to inspire people from underserved communities to develop careers to reduce disparities in cardiopulmonary diseases through education and training.
3. Center seeks to promote current and future intervention research with the aim of developing, testing, and sustaining effective interventions in the communities that need them.

What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

We would like to see logos of text and image AND/OR of image only.
http://cphhd.ihrp.uic.edu/ - We like how they played up their focus on cancer with the ribbons but not all the text.

Please see the attached file as a sample of another research project from our Department of Preventive Medicine.

Soft colors that include cultural signifiers in the design and color schemes -- black/green/red for African-American, green/ white/red for Mexican-Americans, etc.

We would like to emphasize that we are an urban health research center focused on cardiopulmonary disparities.

These are concepts we'd like to highlight: urban, heart/lung healthy, equitable, culturally-sensitive, multi-disciplinary, committed, health-enhancing, collaboration/team work.
