We are a public school district with 4 pre-K to 8th grade elementary schools, and 1 middle school (6th to 8th grade). Students are from southwestern suburbs of Tinley Park, Oak Forest and Orland Park, Illinois.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1. We care about the student as a whole, first and foremost.

We are a student-centered school district that always puts the childs well-being first. We are surrounded with a welcoming, friendly, family atmosphere, a sense of humor and a bit of fun. Were more than just a school day, is our motto. Our focus is learning, and as our mission statement indicates, we also work to educate families, our teachers and administration. We are a community that strives for very high levels of academic success, and achieves ours achieve goals collaboratively.

2. We are a diverse, but we come together as one unified group.

Many of our schools have long-standing traditions and generations of families that have attended. We are also very diverse. We have a high Arabic and Spanish population, and many low-income students and students with disabilities. Despite differences, the schools unite through their core missions and values, and the overall desire to always put the child first.

3. Were progressive and promote technology and innovation.

Were one of the few school districts that gives iPads and Chromebooks to every student in the district. Were innovative leaders who do not live the status quo. We strive to be ahead of the game and are ever changing.

Important Take-aways:

- We want the custom graphic/image to convey a coming together feel. Wed like to see logos that demonstrate parts joining together to create a whole in some fashion. We unite under our cores and values. You could possibly use a color from each school to accomplish this. School colors are: red, yellow, blue, orange, silver. 5 schools total.

- There should be a sense of consistency with this District logo and the School Logo.

- We don't want to see apples, schoolhouses, or other cheesy, traditional ideas of what a school is. We're progressive.
