Nurturing Wisdom Tutoring
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
"High Note" or "High Note: A Nurturing Wisdom Program"
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
Nurturing Wisdom provides the highest quality one-on-one, in-home tutoring in Chicago, and we are currently in the process of expanding to San Francisco. We offer tutoring for students of all ages, for every subject under the sun. In a very exciting development for the company, we're just starting to offer music lessions with a new program that we're creating, called High Note.
The families who work with us tend to be higher-income, they expect the best, and we go out of our way to provide that. Many of the families who choose to do music lessons with us will also be doing tutoring, although not all of them will. We'll have music students of all ages -- 1st grade through adults, and we're offering lessons in both singing, and a wide variety of instruments.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
*We are trustworthy experts.
*We emphasize fun in our music lessons - If a student wants to learn a Katy Perry song on the piano, that's fine! We want music to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
*We are deeply invested in the growth of our students, and we genuinely want them to succeed.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We like logos with both an image and text. Our current logo has an image that can be separated from the text, which is very nice (but not a mandatory feature, if you have a brilliant idea). :)
It's important to us that the font used in the text has some personality. We're not a fan of fonts that look like they were lifted straight from Microsoft Word. No comic sans, please. :) We also like that the image in our current logo is unique and communicates a great deal about the feel of our company and our approach to tutoring, and we really like that the font communicates this as well.
Most important of all is originality! We want to see more than just clichd images of a musical note or treble clef floating above text. We want a memorable image.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Solid colors. It would be great if any new designs could complement the colors we currently use for our website and our materials: dark red/white. Black and grey always works.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Neons and pastels. We especially dislike hot pink. :)
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
The logo will be used both on our website, and in print. We currently have two different versions of our tutoring logo, each adapted for its specific purpose. Feel free to submit different versions of your design.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I've attached the 2 versions of our tutoring logo -- one that we use for letterhead, and the other that we use online. It would be great if the design(s) that you submit could take both uses into account.
I've also attached the design we use for our business cards.
