LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

TriAnswers.com is going to be a triathlon focused community site, where prospective and current triathletes ask questions, answer questions and vote on other people's answers about triathlon races, gear and training.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We're going to need a logo that will look good a) on our website (95% of its usage) as well as tshirts and promotional articles (5%). The logo will be mostly used on a white background, because the site will be developed with a white background and black type. The technology behind the site is grupthink.com which will give you an idea of what kind of environment the logo will be used in.

For the final execution, we will need both TriAnswers or TriAnswers.com.

I will also need the color profiles of all the colors used, so the site can be build accordingly.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Tech Savvy Triathletes. Beginner, intermediate and advanced. These people are looking to get answers about gear, training and races questions. They're tech savvy, and probably mostly between the age of 25-54. Mostly men, but probably around 25% women. One thing to note is that these people are gear crazy. The sport requires a ton of gear.

While this might not perfectly fit the Target Audience, I would love for this site to have a bit of a Web2.0 look to it.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

http://ironman.com/ (iconic triathlon logo - very clean, can be used in any setting)

http://www.crowdspring.com/ (font driven, with one clever graphic)

http://www.wired.com (I like that it's font only, yet has has a graphical look to it)

http://www.bloglines.com/

http://www.youtube.com/

In terms of colors, I am open to suggestions. It just has to look good on white, and it would be nice if works well with basic colors.

The TriAnswers logo will always be used written out. Meaning even if you design a little graphic that goes along with it, it will also be accompanied by either the words TriAnswers or TriAnswers.com

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The logo should not have more than 2-3 colors in it. Please keep it simple and clean.
