LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Presbyterian Healthcare is not-for-profit healthcare leader that has been caring for the residents of North Carolinas southern piedmont for more than a century. Today they employ more than 9,000 individuals at five hospitals, 100+ physician offices and outpatient facilities, and numerous community outreach programs. Presbyterian Healthcare is driven by a core value of providing compassionate patient care along with the latest medical innovations, to create a remarkable patient experience.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Need to create a logo for a program called Pit Crew Training. This is a program where emergency department workers in hospitals are trained to care for trauma patients. They would be folks with a life threatening condition that must be cared for immediately or they may die. Time is critical. Seconds are critical. Everyone must know what their role is when a patient comes in with gunshot, knife wound, heart stops beating, etc. They call it Pit Crew Training because they liken it to a race. When the race cars come into the pits there are a number of tasks that must be done in seconds. And many members of a team must perform specialized task and must do some in concert with other team members. Trauma teams practice for different emergencies just like race teams. They time their drills just like race teams.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
emergency department workers
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
See attachment for client sketches and ideas. We are okay to show some different things, but concepts MUST include examples of what she is seeking because most likely she will pick one of these. These were done roughly so please use your design expertise to make these ideas GREAT!
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
Logo may be used alone, but most often it will appear along with the Presbyterian Hospital logo. They must be harmonious with one another, but there is no graphic standards that need to be adhered to. They want the logo to be very visual and include the race theme with items such as race track, checkered flag, etc. other elements to consider could be stop watch (but still would have to have race theme). I think it would also be cool to have just a hint of a medical flavor also a stethoscope, a heartbeat line, etc. so that at glance people understand this is a medical program. They will trademark logo to prevent others from using it in the future.
2-color neon green and black. Can consider another 2-color combination if there is a compelling reason, but client is pretty set on this.
They prefer a san serif font with some weight to it.
Only words to appear are Pit Crew Training
Motion and speed would be good to convey if possible
