Tell us what you need

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Touch Lab

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

We were originally called "TouchTech", but it turns out the name is not available. You can see the old site and logo at: http://www.touchtech.co/.
We have a product called "TouchTrack": http://touchtrack.co/home.seam. The original logo is being used for that product, and that will stay that way.

What we want is a new logo. We're also going to redesign the main site to look a little more like the "TouchTrack" site, at least in theme. Ideally, our new logo will have a similar theme, but do a little bit of its own thing.

The only help I can be with the design is I'm thinking the two words should have a distinction of some kind. Different font color one bold, one not. Something like that. Right now its one word, one color. Not an absolute, but I'm sort of leaning that way.

Open to a different font, etc. We may even go back and adjust the "TouchTrack" look if its good enough.

Our new company will be doing contract Android development work, but also a heavy focus on UX testing, and remote usability testing, which is really what the "TouchTrack" technology was designed for.

Heavy weight will be given to designs that include a business card layout. Not sure if we're supposed to have a different project for that, but if we can kill two birds with one stone, that would be preferred.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

Smart. Startup-friendly. I want the card to stand out, but don't go too far into the "silly" range. I want to tell somebody we are mobile UI and dev experts, then hand them a card that cements that idea in their head.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

I prefer image and text. For the most part, image with text below. Not all wrapped together, so the logo could be used on its own in other places. Not critical, but its what I've gone with in the past.
