LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
TORTUGA BACKPACKS is an online retail company that sells a travel backpack called "La Tortuga." La Tortuga is a backpack specifically designed and marketed for young, urban travelers on trips from one week to one year.
We are a new startup. The company will maintain a hip, premium brand image.
Tortuga means turtle in Spanish, and we will incorporate that imagery into our brand. We chose the name because turtles carry their homes on their back just like traveling backpackers.
You can find an image of our backpack attached below. Please use it as your inspiration!
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo. The logo must have two parts that can be used together or independent of each other.
The first part is an image that sleekly reflects the Tortuga brand. It should incorporate a turtle motif, but it doesn't need to be too obvious.
The second part is the company name, TORTUGA BACKPACKS, written as a unique trademark. The font and style should reflect our company.
When used together, the image should rest above the written logo.
Our model for a perfect logo is the sleek and attractive Under Armour logo. Here is a link: http://goodnewsfor.us/wp-content/uploads.... I've also uploaded it as a file.
The logo MUST be delivered in a vector based file so it can be used in a variety of ways, including on software goods, websites, stationary, etc. It should also be delivered in all other standard file formats.
Please find an image of our backpack below. The logo must be appropriate for the bag itself! It also must be suitable for our website.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target audience is mid to high-income males and females from age 18-34. More specifically, we're targeting those who travel abroad, especially to Europe, Australia, and the far East recreationally.
They should think we're a young, hip, premium company that offers a cutting edge and innovative niche product. In their minds, they should know that no one else is offering what we are.
The should feel lucky that they found Tortuga. They should be proud to own our backpack.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We must have an awesome, hip logo delivered to us in a vector based format.
The primary color MUST be black. The complimentary color should be the green used in the backpack sketch attached to this posting. Some white or grey might also be acceptable.
The font must brand us and set us apart from other companies.
The image portion of the logo MUST reflect a turtle theme. Trying to incorporate turtle shell imagery is probably the best route.
The logo must NOT look like the Northface logo. We are trying to differentiate ourselves from them!
