Tell us what you need

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

TKFay Consulting *OR* TKFay (the official company name is TKFay Consulting LLC)

What is your industry?

Consulting and Professional Services

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

#1: We want to communicate the key attributes of the TKFay Consulting business:

(1) PROGRESS, MOVEMENT ... TKFay is a catalyst for making headway
(2) RELATIONSHIPS ... TKFay is entirely about getting to know and helping people be their best
(3) TRUE RESULTS ... our clients succeed because TKFay delivers practical, actionable tools and ideas that make a tangible difference

#2: We want to communicate the VIBRANCE and CREDIBILITY of the company's founder.

Tamara K. Fay is a vibrant, inspiring person. She counsels clients with a no-nonsense approach and a sense of humor, backed by decades of practical experience and success in leadership and customer service. Her personal style is classic but not too conservative, funky but not at all faddish. (This woman has never owned a navy blue suit, preferring instead to dress in blacks and grays accented by bold, unique pieces such as statement jewelry and unstructured jackets.) The resulting impression: this is a smart, creative business woman who commands attention and gets things done.

#3: We want to communicate what TKFay delivers, and to whom.

TKFay's serves small to medium-sized organizations across all industries, through three different types of service:
(1) developing business people to be stronger LEADERS & MANAGERS
(2) equipping business people to deliver stellar CUSTOMER SERVICE
(3) building confidence in women who are in CAREER TRANSITION

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

Image + Text would likely provide the greatest impact and flexibility (so we can use the mark plus name together, or occasionally use the mark alone as an icon).

However, we are curious to see how designers might use creative type treatment to create a mark from the name itself: TKFay.

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

The logo will be used in the following settings:
- New website (currently under development)
- Business cards
- One-page service summaries
- Letterhead/stationery

We want a simple, clean, graphic logo in BLACK. We plan to support this black logo with a bold palette of brand colors (such as a rich magenta, a stimulating green, and a lively aquamarine). We are open to designer suggestions about this palette and its use. We would enjoy the flexibility of representing the logo in any color from the palette (think: magenta for management development communications, green for customer service, blue for career transition).

One interesting element of the company's story is that the founder keeps the "K" in her name as a reminder of her family heritage. Her grandfather immigrated to the U.S. with just a suitcase of belongings and made a life for himself and his family by building relationships and selling his wares. If the concept of a satchel or suitcase inspires your design process, go for it (although this is not required).
