About Your Company
The Vista is a 40-unit, privately owned motel in Gloucester, MA. The property sits on a hill with beautiful views of Good Harbor Beach. It is an old-fashioned motel but immaculately maintained. We are a seasonal operation, closed from November to March. Our busiest season is July and August due to the popularity of the beaches in our area, especially Good Harbor Beach.
Gloucester is also known as an authentic fishing port and whale watching is very popular from April to October. We have many returning guests every summer, some have been coming for more than thirty years. Our newly renovated outdoor heated swimming pool is very popular. It, too, has gorgeous ocean views. We offer a complimentary breakfast each morning in a cozy room with indoor and outdoor seating. We receive great reviews on TripAdvisor and other sites and our staff is regularly called out for friendliness and service. We are an old-school type of lodging and we embrace that but we want to change our name from Vista Motel to The Vista because of the negative connotation of the word or idea of "motel". We like the nostalgic idea of motel but not the seedy implication that the word sometimes gives.

I want the words "the Vista" at an angle in a color that evokes nostalgia. The logo might be a sailboat or umbrella that could appear behind the words but could stand alone. I also like to use the tagline "Overlooking Good Harbor Beach". I might also create other taglines to correspond with special events or seasons. I don't want to see too many different colors and it should look good in just one color or black and white.
http://www.keurig.com/eweekly - Donut Shop coffee ads evoke the kind of nostalgia I'm thinking of. They do it with colors and font. I don't want to go overboard but...
http://www.atlantisoceanfrontinn.com/ The logo on the home page for this inn is nice. And I like the "A" that shows up in the tab on the browser.
I will be using our new logo everywhere - our street sign, brochures, business cards, letterhead, website, online advertising, etc. I'm not sure what file formats I need to specify, I'm hoping for some assistance there.
