The Taverns On Green are live events that are part of the Million Green Ideas Campaign. The first Tavern On Green, the kick-off event for the Million Green Ideas Campaign will be held on May 13 in Los Angeles. The Taverns on Green will grow into a national and hopefully international program of hosted live salons sponsored by corporate and other donors.
The Million Green Ideas Campaign is dedicated to uncovering and sharing 1,000,000 green ideas within one year.
Beginning May 13 we will uncover, discover and exchange 1 Million Green Ideas in search of those 1-in-a-million ideas that bring social, environmental and economic success.
The campaign is based on the idea that our economic, environmental, and social problems require innovative solutions that can only come from the free flow of ideas.
By the use of Crowdservice, community service by mass numbers through online and offline systems, anyone anywhere can be part of the solution.
Whether you are a leader, a green job-seeker, an environmentalist, a business person, or just want to speak-out, the million Green Ideas Campaign is an opportunity for you. All that is required is that you opt-in and participate.
My name is Anthony Rubenstein - Tony. I am a successful social entrepreneur, in 2003 I founded Californians for Clean Energy, the force behind the largest green referendum in history in 2006. It was supported by Barack Obama, Al Gore and Bill Clinton among others. My newest initiative is the Million Green Ideas Campaign, an experiment in Crowdservice, community service by on-line and off-line social networks.
At the moment, I'm paying for this out of my own pocket and thanks to donations by individual donors. So if I could afford to offer you thousands I would, however if it's a big success and I can provide you with more work I'll try to do so. Fair enough?
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Give me a logo that hip and clever and chic. Think more about an exclusive Night spot lounge than "Green event". This event series will have corporate sponsors, so the logo must be of corporate quality without being so corporate looking that it doesn't fit a green oriented campaign.
It should be witty and irreverent and should help "tell the story" of the campaign and the events. it will be used on our websites, printed materials, merchandise, and anywhere else we can plaster it.
It should Inspires other to get involved by being witty and clever, not by being earnest and literal. Nothing cartoony. No wind turbines, solar panels or other green cliches - unless you're making an irreverent post modern joke about green cliches that everyone gets and thinks is just the coolest thing ever.
If it doesn't make you smile and want to attend this event, why would you expect it to do so for others?
