What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

The J Gram Project

What is your industry?

Entertainment and Sports

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

This is my personal New York City based contemporary dance company - not to be confused with a modern dance company. Being that I am the brand and product, J Gram or JG should be easily transferable or usable with other projects I enter into (video/photography/retail).

I need to look like I belong in the New York professional performance scene. I'm not looking for some novel or flashy look but a logo and brand that fits in to the current New York Scene. Contemporary, Professional, New York Urban but not so Grungy as to be a cliche (I don't want the RENT logo).

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

I like the look/feel of Gibney Dance (https://gibneydance.org/), and Keigwin and Co.(http://www.keigwinandcompany.com/). They both feel hip, professional, and well thought out, planned. Not as polished but still shows the New York Urban style that I like is this performer I follow (http://www.remitharris.com/). Here logo isn't great but her website captures the feel of my style.

Different style but another group I really like is Loud Hound Dance Company (http://www.loudhoundmovement.com/). Similar professional style is a the Brooklyn Academy of Music (http://www.bam.org/)

I'm leaning toward text only but wouldn't be against a stylized J Gram or JG to be used as an alternative logo given the medium.
