Garbageman's Guide, LLC
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
"The Garbageman's Guide" logo and "Channel Your Inner Garbageman" tagline
What is your industry?
Publishing (this will appear on our book and in our corporate materials)
Describe the target audience for your logo
The general public who reads inspirational and self-help books. Our demographics are very broad, so the logo and tagline need to have a general appeal.
We are likening the flow of life to the flow of trash in a very fun, insightful way. Our goal: help you get rid of the inner garbage that's been holding you back and cluttering your way. As such, we want the logo and styling of the tagline to convey positive, uplifting change.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
- Approachable. Nothing too stuffy or formal, yet not too childlike or informal. We want to build a brand around your design, so we're straddling the line between relaxed/inviting and corporate styling.
- Classy. Nothing "cartoony" or juvenile. We change people's lives with our books and courses, which means we need to be taken seriously.
- Inspirational and Uplifting. When someone looks at the logo and tagline, we want them to feel the same sense of excitement and power as when they finish reading our book or complete one of our seminars.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We definitely want a mark of some kind to accompany the text "The Garbageman's Guide." That will brand the series of books we're creating. We also want to have stylized text for our tagline: "Channel Your Inner Garbageman" The latter may or may not have an exclamation point after it and it may not be the same font as the logo. The two should look as cool on a t-shirt as they would on the cover of our books.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Here are some adjectives: classy, memorable, distinctive, inviting
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Nothing that's florescent, ostentatious, or from a palette that can't easily be matched to standard color schemes (e.g., no hot pink!)
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Everywhere. Cover of our books, course materials, website, clothing and other merchandise, and so on. The logo and tagline will usually appear together as one unit.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
Our website isn't up yet. The first book comes out in May and this is our first step in establishing our corporate identity. Our entire brand will be built around the work you do. With luck, your image will be seen by people around the world who want to change their lives.
