LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Thanks-A-Bunch is is a non-profit program designed to mobilize millions of people in an effort to show in a more personal way that society truly values those that "keep us safe." Thanks A Bunch creates an opportunity for all of us to approach police officers, firefighters and military personnel, look them in the eye, shake their hand and say "thank you." The services is part of a broader organization called BeProactive.org whose mission is to build social-mobilizing programs with self-sustaining economic engines that show appreciation to groups of ordinary people that make extraordinary contributions to society. Its first program is Thanks A Bunch.
This program is very personal. It's anonymous giving BUT it's not as easy as writing a check. People will connect with people. Parents will connect to say thank you while thinking about how safe their children are because of these individuals. Parents will have their children connect and say thank you and show respect and appreciation for the sacrifices that these individuals make for our freedom.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that communicates high values, social regard for others, appreciation for and a connection to America's heroes (police officers, firefighters and our brave military). The program is personal. I would like to see the words "For keeping us safe" within the logo. In theory, this will change over time as the program addresses educators, etc. but for now, this is a program focused on America's heroes.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The program is attractive to people that truly appreciate the sacrifices that America's heroes make in the world and how those individuals positively affect our society and community. Not everyone in the country values this approach but many do. This program seeks to find those individuals and asks that they take a personal step toward thanking those that keep us safe. This does not have to be overly patriotic. I would love to see some of those but this logo is more about the connection between people than just simply having an American flag. This may eventually go beyond the US. It's not about America but more about recognizing individuals that sacrifice their own safety for ours.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
the words Thanks-A-Bunch (with or without the hyphens) and the words "for keeping us safe" somewhere else.
