Some basic details on the project:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. Packard Place announces the opening of RevTech Labs in Uptown Charlotte. RevTech Labs is geared toward Charlottes burgeoning developer community and will provide a place for tech startups to launch. The 3 month program focuses on early stage mobile, software and web companies. RevTech Labs will provide free work space, mentorship, and programming all geared toward revolutionary technology startups. The program is now accepting applications (7-10 startups will be accepted into the initial class) and will launch in June with an announcement of the accepted startups.
RevTech Labs is all about community, mentorship, and connections. All companies will be required to locate within the same community space. The 4,000 sq ft space, located within Packard Place, provides shared desks, break space, and casual meeting space. Mentorship from local, regional, and national tech talent will help to guide startups as they focus on building their products and defining their business models. The program will culminate in a launch day, where the startups can connect with local and regional investors and customers.
The program will have a rolling start date, in order to be flexible and allow startups to move in on their time. Applications will be accepted starting May 8th, until June 1st. Move in will be the entire month of June. The program officially kicks off Monday, July 2nd and will run for 3 months (with a break for the DNC).
The initial class will contain 7-10 startup tech companies, specifically companies in the mobile, web, and software spaces. Companies must have a developer as a founder or on staff.
Resident Partners and Mentors:
RevTech Labs will also house resident partners and mentors within the space. These include tech startups such as MailVU and DealCloud, and national Twilio.
Pitches must include:
