SPIL GAMES is a Dutch multinational company built on a global network of 45 gaming websites that together offer more than 4,000 free online and downloadable casual games to people all over the world. With more than 130 million unique visitors every month, SPIL GAMES is the global leader in the online gaming industry (source: comScore).

The global reach of SPIL GAMES entire network of websites includes traffic from 190 countries spanning Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.

As well as being culturally tailored to the 17 current language markets, the websites are targeted demographically toward pre teens girls (www.girlsgogames.com) , teens (www.agame.com) ,and families (www.gamesgames.com).

SPIL GAMES is first and foremost a website publisher , also develops and launches its own games (three in house game studios)and engages in licensing agreements with other developers. The majority of the games on the websites can be played free of charge for as long as the player wishes.

SPIL GAMES is headquartered in Hilversum, the Netherlands. Additional offices are located in Shanghai (China), Nrnberg (Germany). In addition, two sales offices were opened in 2009: one in London, and one in Hamburg.

In 2010, SPIL GAMES is concentrating on (1) increasing traffic & user loyalty on its sites (use of richer technology to provide consumers more social gaming and social networking experiences and (2) reaching new audiences by operating on a wider variety of platforms
(i.e. mobile, social networks).

This forward-thinking strategy is reflected in the following company milestones achieved in the first 2 quarters of 2010:

The company launched its third game for the iPhone and iPod touch: Flakboy.

Social features were rolled out on all our pre teens girls and teens sites : profiles, avatars, comments, awards/achievements, high scores, and a place to save favorite games as well as the Friends feature, which enables players to seek out their friends and invite them to join the site.

SPIL GAMES is very active within social networks through its dedicated brand ZAPAPA. On April 20 and following the launch of ZAPAPA within Facebook (close to 2 Million monthly active users already) we announced a partnership with Hyves (No. 1 Dutch social network). Hyves site now features a games platform (powered by ZAPAPA), where a large selection of instantly accessible games is now being played by 1,6 Million people every month.

From a game content point of view, this means that SPIL GAMES creates the highest possible quality gaming experience, powered by the global game development community and its own-IP games.

Towards our advertising partners, this means that SPIL GAMES lets companies connect and engage with their target audience through gaming in a playful environment .

Style and Concept

What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

Playfish, Twitter, Playdom, Xbox, ... A combination of text & graphical icon representing the company vision / mission. SMART SIMPLICITY is key. For our SPIL GAMES new logo, we are keen to see variations (e.g.written on one line or two lines)

What colors do you want to see in your logo?

We're pretty open on this one. Remember though that our current logo is black & orange (orange because of our company Dutch origin). Orange is not "must have" though but still welcomed.
