LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
BitNV (pronounced "bit envy") is a new name or DBA ("doing business as") name for a software company. The company develops multiple Web applications for a business audience. The applications include project management, time entry, and information security tools. The word "bit" refers to the ones and zeros in basic computer data.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that can be used on the company's Web site (to be bitnv.com), business cards, letterhead, embroidered clothing, etc.
Some part of the logo should scale down to work as a 16x16 icon that can be used as the Web site's favicon.ico file.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our audience includes a wide range of business people: upper- and middle-managment in large organizations, information technology specialists, and small-business owners. Previous clients have been in the banking industry, but we are not focused on just banks. Future clients may include individual Web users.
The logo should convey the company's values of simplicity, creativity, and leading-edge technology without a tagline or use of those words. Other words the audience should think of would be trustworthy, safe, secure, and strong.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We're open to all ideas. Using green to play off of the word "envy" might work, but using green is not required. The font should be either simple or techie. We like the simple look of many of the "Web 2.0"-style logos out there.
For an example of using part of the logo in the Web site icon, we like the crowdSPRING logo and cS site icon. Another example is the Basecamp (www.basecamphq.com) logo.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
No words other than BitNV.
