Waldram Wine Ltd.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
What is your industry?
wine, social media
Describe the target audience for your logo
this is a logo for all my wine 'social' activities on my blog, my twitter stream, facebook, posterous, youtube and more. This is about reaching out to a new generation of media savvy people, generally 20-50 who want to talk about wine but don't want to be wine geeks
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
discovery (finding stuff they wouldn't have seen), insight (making sense of stuff), conversation (being there to chat about it and explain, in everyday terms)
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
text with small image - the focus is on the text, but an icon image is important, but it needs to stand out from the usual "wine glass, corkscrew and wine blot" crowd. @thirstforwine likes to be a little more daring than that (including my choice of very impactful designer flowery shirts)!
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
something with impact, but not too garish, Will probably be used as colour for subsequent social channels on blogs and imagery.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
avoiding cliched standards like burgundy red. keep it simple (not too many colours) for simplicity, ease of print and impact
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
almost exclusively online, but also on business cards, t-shirts, etc. if adopted widely
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
I have been tweeting as @thirstforwine for years and established a reasonable following and lots of friends. They know me (and it would be good to get a sense of that 'tone') and trust me. I have also blogged on a different domain which will now be used for other reasons, so want to establish a single identity for my social wine interactions. This will reach everyone who knows me, and should also make others want to join in. One of the key identities I have established are my choice of Blaqua (www.blaqua.net) flowery shirt designs, for which I already have matching business cards. I'm not sure if this can, or should, be incorporated but am willing to check out your ideas. If we're going to be daring, let's not go half way!!
