What do you do?
ShipSweet is an online marketplace for finding alternative parcel carriers that will move your packages faster and for up to 20% less than UPS, FedEx, the US Postal Service. Primary customers are small and mid-size businesses. ShipSweet moves parcels through a network of regional trucking companies and local couriers. ShipSweet can save customers 20% or offer faster service for the same price (e.g. next-day for the same price as UPS would charge for two-day). ShipSweet also helps reduce carbon emissions by helping fill trucks to maximum capacity.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Would like two versions: Just "ShipSweet" and "ShipSweet.com" (with the .com part diminutive to the name)
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo
ShipSweet has several audiences including shippers (retailers, manufacturers, distributors, etc.) and regional trucking companies. The primary audience are people that send parcels who must decide whether to use UPS, FedEx, USPS or an alternative carrier they can find on ShipSweet. They want to make sure their parcels get there on time and in good condition. They also want the lowest possible cost.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
The target audience has never heard of ShipSweet. We need to convey that ShipSweet is:
- Solid and reliable, like a national carrier
- Innovative in finding great deals, like Priceline
- The greener option
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Our target audience is used to the very solid, credible logos of FedEx, UPS, US Postal Service, Yellow Freight, DHL, et al. Although we are a marketplace - or "virtual carrier" - we still need to convey trust and reliability.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
Chef's choice. Solid colors tend to work best.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Brown and gold (UPS), Purple/Red/Green (FedEx), Red and Blue (USPS). We want to avoid looking like these three in particular.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
All the usual places.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
One logo design in digital form that can be used on line, in printed matter and package labels. Logo should be in 4-color and also work in black-and-white. The name ShipSweet is one word with the two Ss capitalized. Design must be visually distinct in terms of color scheme and fonts compared to ShipSweets competitors (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, TNT, etc). Color scheme must be easy to manage in various applications such as printing and rendering on line.
