Australias second largest organic vineyard needs an outstanding logo for our new wine label. It needs to say purity, cleanliness, health and a tradition of excellence. The River Pines logo must be easy to identify among other wines on store shelves.
Were looking for an enduring logo that is also modern. Our logo also needs to represent a strong image of tradition and excellence. Our market will be the younger wine drinkers (30-45) as well as the older yet still hip and fun crowd. This logo needs to have some edge but should be versatile.
River Pines Organic Wines is a company that cares about you and your health and well being. Our wines do not have the many trace pesticides and herbacides found in other wines, and they have a low level of preservatives.
By bringing our wine to dinner or giving it as a gift you are showing your loved ones you care about their health and the environment. Youre also bringing one of the worlds top award winning wines.
River Pines draws its name from the stately ancient whistling pines growing along the banks of the picturesque creek that meanders through the vineyard. Also known as she-oaks, or ironwood, these towering Australian pines, which can grow to 40m (130 ft), are actually flowering plants, and the needles are modified stems encircled with tiny leaves. This adaptation reduces water loss and allows these unique trees to thrive in this driest of continents, Australia.
If you decide to use the full River Pines name, we would like it stylized so that something is in the middle of the two words, River Pines.
If you are inspired to use the image of the River Pines and the creek in the development of the logo please look carefully at the 'needles.' They are different than a north American pine and *****we dont want the depiction on the logo to be a North American pine.*****

We need one well designed logo that will anchor our product line. It will be used on all our labels as well as the website and other marketing tools.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our market will be the younger wine drinkers (30-45) as well as the older yet still hip and fun crowd. This is the dinner party crowd as well as the artistic crowd. Our wine will have a mid to higher price point and will be award winning and delicious. This logo needs to have some edge but should be versatile. Please make sure to read what we don't want to see in the logo carefully. We don't want to look like Yellow Tail.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Please look at the River Pines carefully if you use them in the design. We do not want to see a north american pine used in our logo.
We don't want to see a look similar to the lower price point australian wines on the market such as Yellow Tail. These have given the global market a sense that australian wines are not worth a higher price point. We want a more sophisticated look, but it still needs to be light and fun.
