Target Audience
What is your industry?
Retail Website
Describe the target audience for your logo
Online consumers looking for bargains, tailored to the local community in Hawaii. We are looking for a logo that is basically a cartoon-style character. A similar cartoon concept can be found at http://dtric.com. The Score Brah name is a pidgin-themed phrase used in Hawaii. An equivalent phrase might be "Score, dude!"
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. Local to Hawaii, conveyed through the character's clothing, etc. Shaka is a common Hawaiian gesture that can also convey Hawaii. A shaka is a fist with the thumb and pinky extended.
2. Savings, can be conveyed with a wad of cash in his/her hand, etc. We're open to possibilities, but it has to relate to the concept of savings.
3. Fun/Memorable, just want the character to be fun. We are not illustrators so we need someone to come up with a nice stylized sketch.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We'd like to see the character described above. If you'd like to work on a combo design with character and stylized text to match the color scheme of the design, feel free to use ScoreBrah.com as the text to be included with the character design. Otherwise, the only element we are requiring is the character.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
We're open to all possibilities. If we like your design, but the colors don't quite work together for us, we'll let you know so you can adjust and try a revision.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
We're open to all possibilities. If we like your design, but the colors don't quite work together for us, we'll let you know so you can adjust and try a revision.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Website. Maybe we will use for business cards down the road, but really it's a web-only concept.
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
http://dtric.com provides a good example of the cartoon-style character we hope to achieve. The DTRIC character looks like he just came in from surfing, but has a seat belt across his chest and is flashing a shaka sign with his hand.
