LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a smaller Baptist church (250 people) in Southern California needing a new logo to replace our very outdated logo. We are almost 30 years old as a church, but have a great influx of people from younger generations. Our worship style is more traditional, and our church holds to the traditional core beliefs of Christianity. As a church, we enjoy the past as well as looking forward to seeing what the future holds. We have two new pastors and are ready to bring the church to the next stage in growth as well as bring it up to speed with the current times.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We have an outdated logo that pretty much is the standard logo design for all the churches in our valley (mountains, sunset, and Bible). We are not against having a cross in the logo, but we would like to get a fresh start from our previous logo and move on to something a little more unique and distinct from the other logos in the valley. We would like our logo to be sharp and versatile enough to be incorporated into our future website, letterhead, business cards, and any other need we might have for it.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We are not looking to reach out to a specific age group. Therefore, we are not looking for something so edgy that it will outdate itself in 5-10 years. Rather, we are looking for a logo that is definitely cross generational.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
Bethel Temple (http://churchrelevance.com/wp-content/up...) We like how the name is incorporated into the logo.
Bethlehem Baptist Church (http://www.hopeingod.org/) simple and to the point.
Lakewood Church (http://www.lakewood.cc/Pages/index.aspx) sharp with nice fonts.
Landmark Church (http://churchrelevance.com/wp-content/up...) sharp with a nice font.
Word of Grace Community Church (http://www.wogcc.com/) We like how the leaf could stand by itself and represent the church, but also is incorporated into the logo.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
As said earlier, we want a design that would work well both in digital media and also print. We think it would be nice to have a logo that we could take just a part and incorporate it into the web site. But that is not a necessity. Also, if there is a way of incorporating our schools logo (www.sccs.cc), that would be great, but again, not a necessity.
