Objectives of non-profit - meeting young adults aging out of foster care where they are to identify the trauma, acknowledge they are broken, and more than likely on the course to repeat patterns and cycles that prevent them from reaching full potential.

The series of workshops develops resiliency in these young adults in the face of adversity through a research grounded, trauma sensitive prevention program. Resiliency is a dynamic development process, not an individual trait that is necessary to overcome trauma and define better paths for success as young adults age out of the foster care system

What ResilientMe DOES NOT:
Provides direct care assistance for housing and providing tangible items
Shape public policy on child welfare issues

ResilientMe DOES
TEACH how to critically think and solve problems
IDENTIFY patterns of behavior
SHOW how to break the cycle
INSPIRES and BUILDS confidence to take on life challenges

It is the STEP BEFORE any work readiness, life skills, enrichment programs and direct service programs can be effective and sustainable for young adults aging out of foster care.

And most importantly - the workshops are FUN
