LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are an 11 year old sustainably operated handmade recycled paper and invitation company. We are known for our high quality and environmental standards, our colorful papers made in the U.S. with living wage labor, large customization options and professional but down to earth customer service.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are launching a brand of handmade 100% recycled memorial cards. However, our current name and logo are inappropriate for the funeral industry.
The brand: remembrance tree papers (we think we want this in all lower case)
Tag line: honoring life. renewing the earth. (we think we want this in a modern, creative easy to read script)
Other info: Handmade 100% recycled seed paper memorials (we can't decide if we want this in the logo or not. It is important in conveying the handmade nature of the work, though--a big selling point)
The concept: the memorial cards and notes have wildflower seeds and can be planted. Also, we will plant a tree in honor of the deceased (the remembrance tree) The cards are also extremely customized for the deceased, trying to capture in several lines of text, at least in a small way, the essence of the person and the life he or she lead.
We would like a tree or a sapling incorporated into the logo. We would like the logo relatively simple so that a stamp can be made with it. However, it can have a couple colors in it.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Aging baby boomers and their families who share the company's values of art, handcraftsmanship, and the environment. Customers who want something different than the more generic cards printed off at the funeral home.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Keep in mind that this logo will be seen by grieving families. Too much creativity can be tacky. Think: understated, comforting, simple, elegant
