Pureland, LLC is a non-traditional organic food company that provides healthy food solutions and feeling good experience to the conscious consumers. The product line will include dry organic goji berries, dried tea leaves, and organic cranberries. The offerings will be unique, high quality and affordable complements to the customers daily lives.
At the core of the company, Pureland will have a unique social mission that will involve its consumers and their communities in social changes through outreach programs that help protect and restore the wetlands. Pureland brand will use this social mission as a differentiator as it will engage both the private business sectors and local communities to get involved (in various ways) with social change and empower the conscious consumers.
The company values two main qualities that ensure that its social impact and its growth are sustainable. The first is the genuine compassion towards the community that we live and operate in. The second is the genuine passion for the organic products that it promotes. Moreover, these two qualities of genuineness must be visible to the community - people will see and feel Purelands great snack products and actions for wetlands. This visible genuineness is the soul of the business: as long as we do the right things, the profits will follow. Pureland uses this philosophy to guide its business decisions as well as social commitments.

Describe the target audience for your logo
The ideal audience is of the Pureland brand product is adults 25-44 with a slight skew toward female. The audience is liberal with strong attention devoted to being green and environmentally friendly. They shop at both grocery stores and health food outlets to buy products similar to those of the Purelands line. Although the Pureland brand will launch in the Gulf Coast area, a large concentration of prospective customer is in the Northeast and upper West Coast.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. Our social mission of helping to restore our wetlands
2. The Eastern influence, particularly that of Tibet, which serves as inspiration for our company and cause.
3. The organic/natural nature of our products.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We like both text and image. I first rough attempt at a logo featured our name, "Pureland" with the curve of the "r" looking like a leaf and the base of the "d" extending below to form roots. Our company is very much inspired by Eastern culture and religion, particularly that of Tibet. One possible image to play with is that of the "Iron Goddess of Mercy." Another is the "Tree over water" or "Han character" in chinese alphabet. In terms of style, while we certainly need to incorporate the eastern influence, we'd like to do so in a more modern and contemporary manner. Modern San Serif typography that subtly blends ancient eastern tradition with contemporary design. I posted a link below to a few examples of this. Sansation and Diavlo are interesting ones to note, but again, we are very open to any number of possibilities.
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
We are open to a wide range of possibilities and don't want to limit creativity. That said, rustic, earthy tones that evoke the imagery of the natural and organic products we sell along with the greenery of the Wetlands do tend to lend themselves to oranges, rusts, bronzes, greens, etc.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
We don't really have any limitations.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
The primary thing to consider is that the logo will need to translate well for package design. Many of our products will be dry goods, such as Goji Berries and Loose Leaf Teas and will be packaged in 8oz, 4oz, and 1oz sample sizes. Examples of packaging is included in the links below.
Obviously the standards, website, letterhead, business cards will need to be taken into consideration as well.
