LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Purdue University Department of Entomology
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Purdue Universitys Department of Entomology is celebrating its centennial in 2012. The department is looking for an identifying logo to be used for all phases of the celebration from advertizing the event to memorabilia items. Ideally the winning design will produce a logo that can be scaled for applications as diverse as advertising banners of a significant size to much smaller items as stationery, lapel pins, stickers, etc.
Were looking for a nice blend of classic simplicity and modern look. The logo must convey the following information:
1. Purdue University
2. Department of Entomology
3. 1912-2012
4. Black & Gold Colors see color standards manual link below http://www.pmc.purdue.edu/resources/PU_S...
Designs may be simple text or contain a stylized image of an insect such as a: butterfly, dragonfly or damselfly, firefly (beetle), or honey bee as examples
This logo should not be designed with cartoons or humor in mind (although this is one fun department).
For additional information about the departments history, its vision, mission, and core values, visit the About Us tab on the homepage at:

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
