Tell us what you need
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
The firm's name is "Providence Law Asia LLC". So the word "Providence" should definitely appear, "Providence Law" or "Providence Law Asia" would work too.
What is your industry?
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
Professionalism (that we are trusted advisers, skilled professionals), modernity (cutting edge in our approach to solving clients' problems/issues; that we are cosmopolitan) and the logo needs to instill confidence in clients/potential clients (to show that we are strong and smart). No typical associations with law, for instance, wigs and scales.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
We would quite like something like the logos/monograms from these sites:
We have attached a word doc which sets out some of the logos that took to our fancy - some of them were picked based on our play on the imagery conjured by the word "Providence".
We are particularly fond of the use of negative space such as that with the logo "Eaton" in the word doc attached.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
The type for "Providence Law Asia" should be modern, bold and crisp. The name can be shortened to "Providence Law" if that renders better as a logo.
We'd also like to have a symbol comprising of the letters "P", "L", "PL" or "PLA", that can then be seen on the top of a website tab - see for example the Drew & Napier one (link above). We may also use it on our emails, letterhead etc.
On this note, the logo/symbol must work well in black & white because our letters/emails are in black and white.
We are a boutique law firm specailising in litigation (corporate/commercial dispute resolution) - here's a link to our current website: http://www.providencelawasia.com/
