LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Powerstation Real Estate is creating a nationwide platform to consolidate warehouse rooftops for use hosting solar power equipment. By consolidating individual properties, Powerstation Real Estate creates huge tracts of available space that drives interest from energy developers. Our platform is helping drive adoption of renewable energy by creating a market to match sellers of underutilized space (commercial property owners) with buyers of that space (energy developers).
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Powerstation needs a logo and color palette. The logo will be used on a soon to be created website, sales presentation (i.e. PowerPoint) and collateral materials, such as business cards and stationary.
Attached are two files. The first has the cover page and a sample slide from our existing sales presentation. The second contains our non-creative attempt at creating a logo concept and potential color palettes.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Powerstation Real Estate has two types of customers: the commercial property owners that are making their properties available for use hosting solar equipment and energy developers who will own, operate and maintain the solar equipment on these properties.
Real estate customers of Powerstation include commercial property owners, such as real estate investment trusts ("REITs"), private equity funds, insurance companies, endowments, asset managers and corporations that own and occupy their own buildings. Examples of these types of companies include ProLogis, MetLife, Blackstone and BlackRock. Note: none of these companies have an affiliation with Powerstation and are NOT currently customers.
Energy developer customers include utility companies (examples such as Duke Energy, PG&E, Southern California Edison) or independent power producers that develop renewable energy projects (examples such as Iberdrola, SunPower, First Solar). Note: none of these companies have an affiliation with Powerstation and are NOT currently customers.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Iberdrola Renewables (www.iberdrolarenewables.us) - Clean, very readable logo design
Acciona (www.acciona.com) - Like the interaction between the logo and text; do not like the tagline on the logo which is too small and hard to read
SunEdison (www.sunedison) - Like the use of orange versus green (which has become very common these days); not impressed with the font used for company name
GE (www.ge.com) - GE has its own proprietary font called GE Inspira. Powerstation cannot afford to have its own font created but does like the softer, rounded style to the GE font. The font is more arial than times roman.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Would be interesting to stay away from shades of green. There is so much greenwash going on right now with companies becoming environmentally friendly this color is getting overused and tired. We are curious to see creative uses of color in the logo but want to stay true to the environmentally friendly goal of Powerstation.
The logo concept must contain all the words "Powerstation Real Estate", spelled as written here. The way these words are incorporated into the design is flexible, but all must be present.
