What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Pollmerica, The Homepage of American Opinion (the 'M' in Pollmerica should have for a lower and uppercase variation. Everything after the comma is a subtitle.)
What is your industry?
Polling and Social Commentary
Describe the target audience for your logo
Because the purpose of the site is to gather the opinions of all Americans, the logo should appeal to a wide demographic, including college students, professionals, working class, lay-people, elderly, immigrants, etc.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. That this site represents the pulse or opinion of *American* citizens on celebrities, political figures, sports stars, and consumer products.
2. That we are not censored, and represent an unfiltered soundboard.
3. That opinions are voted on, and often represent controversial or conflicting viewpoints.
Style and Concept
What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We would like the text 'Pollmerica' simplistic and strong, in a font that invokes having been typed from an old typewriter. Please draft both with and without a capital 'M' ('Pollmerica' and 'PollMerica').
We would like the subtitle/mission statement to read, "The homepage of American Opinion" in a font that is *legible* but also resembles the text used in the American Constitution or Declaration of Independence, as though it were hand-written from a fountain pen. Please see:
What colors do you want to see in your logo?
We had not thought of a specific color palette, but simple and legible is best, so it may simply be grayscale.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?
Nothing loud or flashy or bright.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Do you have other info or links you want to share?
The winner of this project will likely be awarded another contract to design the layout of the website, so that we can maintain a consistent branding and feel.
