LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The Ohio Supportive Housing for the Homeless Allliance (OSHHA) was created in 2008 by a group of experts in the provision of housing for the homelessness and community planning to end homelessness. Members have come from communities across Ohio to create and implement a public policy advocacy agenda that supports the development of permanent supportive housing units across Ohio as a solution for long-term homelessness.
OSHHA's work plan focuses on developing an increased capacity within the State of Ohio to fund the capital, operating and servicing of permanent supportive housing (PSH). [Housing that has a proven track record of success in bringing folks from the streets and shelters into housing and often into services that address specific disabilities.] Joined together in an alliance the group works to: develop legislative initiatives that would positively impact the development and support of PSH, look for innovations that would enable services (within a tight economic enviornment) to be provided to the homeless who move into the housing; and address system and policy issues that hinder the development of housing for the homeless.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A logo that will make us easily identified.
The logo may use "OSHHA" as the focal point...but somewhere in the logo the full name - Ohio Supportive Housing for the Homeless Alliance should be there.
The logo will be used on written materials, name badges and stationary for the group.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
1) State government officials and legislators - to identify the group as serious experts in PSH
2) Potential members - to distinguish us from any other advocacy body in the state or country.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Need clear, clean logo. Modern and up-to-date looking.
Example of logos our members like include:

http://www.enterprisecommunity.org/local...
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We don't want "cute"
We do not want any design that will make us look like other Ohio advocacy organizations including CSH (http://www.csh.org/) OR COHHO (http://www.cohhio.org/) for example
