What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
This is an online traffic school. I want the logo to convey strength and confidence while helping people get back on the road or keep their driver's license; at the same time I do not want the logo to be too brutish, cartoonish, or overly aggressive--there should be some elegance and grace in the depiction.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
The logo should be a combination of image and text. I would like to see the company name (247drive) embedded in the logo, but also to potentially show a motto. I am leaning toward the following as my motto: Learn. Drive. Be Safe.
However, the motto can be incorporated on a business card or letterhead later on and is not required to be part of the logo itself.
I am leaning strongly toward a combination of a horse/stallion/mustang head logo that is fused into a tire. I have also thought about adding wings/flames to the concept art, depending on whether or not it looks too busy. Adding wings/flames may be too much.
I have a preference for the logo to appear in 3D, that it has body to it. However, I am also open to a flat 2D depiction.
I envision the horse/stallion/mustang head as the upper body of the logo, and the tire should be lower portion of the logo--very similar to the cobra logo of the Ford Shelby Cobra.
Direction/pose: Horse/stallion/mustang head logo should be facing left and flowing out to the right
Tires/wheels: should be angled so you can see the center of the tire/wheel and wings might come out of it
Wings/flames: choice of wings coming out of tire or flames protruding from rear of tire, or both if not too busy
Eyes: squinty so as to appear angry OR open to convey strength and poise
Mouth: snarling so as to appear angry or puffing
Overall: not "too cartoonish" like a college sports team logo, but something
along that line
Angled and standing right-side-up so you can see a little bit of the center
Could be laying flat or slightly raised and horse come halfway out of it with head/body and front legs
Could be added if tire is standing right-side-up
Wings should resemble something of a law enforcement motor squad
Flames would flow out from the tire as if the tire is burning rubber
o Background design:
I like the idea of capturing the entire logo in some sort of shape, perhaps either a ROUND or GUITAR PICK (with the point down and the round shape at the top) shape
I am also open to any other ideas
Color choices for Main Logo:

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
My website is under construction. The logo will be a finishing touch for the website, but it will also appear on business cards.
I have posted a link to Shutterstock.com designs I have picked out that I believe capture an idea or parts of a larger design, but not the entire essence of a complete logo.
Ideas to build on from the logo choices in Shutterstock:
o I like the horse with the wrapping swirl around it.
o Or we can look at the snake/tire combination where the horse head flows out of the tire
