Obtura Spartan is an endodontic dental supply company (www.obtura.com). We are dedicated to meeting the needs of the specialist and general dentists that perform Root Canal Treatments.
Obtura Spartans brand history: Obtura Corporation (invented in 1979) merged with Spartan Marketing Group in 1995 to form Obtura Spartan. Many customers still dont understand this happened. In personal interactions with customers, as well as references in literature and text, we are rarely referred to as Obtura Spartan (More popular references Obtura; Spartan; or Spartan Obtura).
Currently, the Obtura Spartan brand is communicated through various channels:
Sales Reps, Customer Service, Clinicians, Universities, Advertising, Direct Mail, and Websites.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Moving Forward: We want our current customers to perceive that we are evolving as a company but not abandoning our clinical foundation. Our specialty branded products (Obtura and Spartan products), our line of accessories (EndoGear) and our educational service component (EndoEducation) should all fit nicely under the Company umbrella.
Therefore, Step 1 for accomplishing these goals is upgrading/revamping our current logo. Obtura Spartan is now becoming Obtura Spartan Endodontics to broaden the companys perception. Our slogan is going to be dropped for now until we rethink of a new one, so this shouldnt be included.
We are open to your creativity, but still want the logo to look professional, classic and clinical, resemble in some way our current identity so that people will still recognize the brand as Obtura Spartan, but resemble our emergence into this redefined brand of endodontic dental products. Coloring for this upgrade is open to your creativity as well, meaning you can continue to use our current Black and Blue (C: 95, M: 57, Y: 11, K: 8) colors, or try new options (reds, oranges, greens). Or submit the same logo in a few different color palettes.
