Positioning Statement - More than a Museum...Memories
A unique educational community resource that is preserving Florida's folk, pioneer and Indian cultures for future generations.
A great place for locals and visitors to bring the family have a picnic and stroll the grounds
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
image & text or text only
Do not like our existing logo - too much like a "farm" rather than a village museum. We do some farming and have some farm animals but it isn't our main focus.
Easy to read - conveys an eclectic style - a mix of professionalism/museum as well as comfortable/casual atmosphere.
One idea was a wagon wheel with an antique tool/hammer and maybe an indian feather or other similar shaped items used as the spokes in the wheel. This is just a thought and may not transfer well to a design

https://www.facebook.com/pioneersettleme... Our facebook page right now is mostly about our upcoming festival but you can find a picture there of our schoolhouse
http://www.pioneersettlement.org/ - our website is going to be getting a face lift soon - again too much like a farm rather than a historical village museum but you can get a better idea of some of the other things we have and do on there.
Our demonstrations include weaving, chair caning, candle making, pottery, rug braiding etc...
We are a non profit organization whose mission is...to help reinforce the education of students and provide the revitalization of retired people through the conservation of local historical arts, artifacts and lifestyles. The historical village museum is situated on a thirty-acre campus that features seventeen historical structures and a collection of over 10,000 items. The Settlement offers self guided and guided tours, field trips, workshops and demonstrations, as well as rental facilities for meetings, small weddings and special events. ( our museum is a restored schoolhouse built in 1919 it has 4 rooms and a small auditorium) We also have a log cabin and old railroad/train caboose on the campus for touring.
