LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a new wireless network operations company setting out to reinvent how the old-school operators like AT&T and Verizon and Sprint operate. Our target market is the connected technorati, the Facebook and MySpace and Twitter users comfortable purchasing things and interacting online. We plan to offer low-cost voice and data plans with the latest messaging, social networking, and media services, combined with the slickest new handsets, netbooks and wireless laptops.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
In this Stage 1 (of 3) Naming
We need a good trademarkable corporate name, ( it would best to avoid words in common usage i.e. the SiFi network just changed their name to SyFy so they could trademark it; we would consider names like "Apple" that had other strrengths) that will be used in all corporate communications and branding, and as the foundation for later projects to design logos, and later print and electronic market collateral.
Some additional guidelines:
1.) Shorter is better, catchy is best.
2.) Some brand and positioning themes: cool, hip, current, connected, wireless, new tech,...
3.) Either the name itself, or some simple derivation thereof should have an available URL. Favorite would be a .com address, but would consider any Top Level Domain Suffix such as del.icio.us, or ma.tt (We would consider paying modest fees -- less than $3k to purchase a REALLY GOOD domain name.)
4.) Something that would appeal to both males and females in the 18-34 demographic
5.) Something that we could build an international brand around
6.) Something that we could build derivative verbiage around, i.e. "Why don't you Google the research info, Xerox it and FedEx it around to our partners?"
Favorite example names in the industry:
Sprint, Wind, Telstra, Cricket, Pocket
Most useful submission format:
Lists of multiple name candidates paired with matched available URL and price to purchase the domain name.
If you would also like to submit early entries for the logo for your favorite names, feel free, particularly if you feel like your logo idea will help sell your favorite name proposal. But we will still likely send out the second stage logo design project..you would just have a head start on that upcoming stage, to win an additional fee.
If their are repeated names in multiple submissions, we will award the fee to the earliest submission of the chosen name + URL pair.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target market is the connected technorati, the Facebook and MySpace, Amazon, Ebay and Twitter users comfortable purchasing things and interacting online.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Either the name itself, or some simple derivation thereof should have an available URL. Favorite would be a .com address, but would consider any Top Level Domain Suffix such as del.icio.us, or ma.tt (We would consider paying modest fees -- less than $3k to purchase a REALLY GOOD domain name.)
