LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

NEWCO is a web based business whose aim is to connect women owned and run businesses so that they can grow by doing business together or exchanging advice, thoughts and inspiration for success. The portal enables women owned enterprises to be identified, to profile their services and products, to easily connect and to trade with each other. Membership is open to women interested in expanding their range of contacts and networks, wherever they are in the world and whatever their business.

We have two possible names. Emporima and Anzaja. Choose the one that you like best and map that to the deliverables below.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need 4 deliverables.

NEWCO -- a logo, letterhead (A4), business card (credit card size), with compliments slips (DL size) and matching envelopes. We need a colour palette for the core identity and the website. All colour selections must work on web as well as CMYK and PMS. Reflex blue is NOT allowed.

The following are derivations of the main logo.

Woman of the Week - logo only

Each week we will profile a woman in business that we think will be inspirational to others. We need an identity for this that reflects our commitment to profiling our members and others who are exemplary in the market place.

Business of the Month - logo only

Each month we will profile a business that embodies the ethos and operations of NEWCO. We need an identity for that transcends geography, sector, profession and location.

Giving Back to Girls - logo only

This is the Foundation where help girls to achieve their best regardless of background or socio-economic status to become the next generation of entrepreneurs. It is the fundamental basis of NEWCO's corporate social responsibility program.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The primary audience is women who own and run their own companies in the micro and SME market in English speaking business environments during the first phase. They will use the site to get contacts, conduct commerce and exchange advice.

Whilst this is our primary audience we should not present NEWCO as a womens only club. It is simply its orientation and focus because research has consistently shown that women start and operate businesses for different reasons to men and they also operate them in a different way. Typically this includes higher EQ and family oriented dimensions than male operated businesses.

Secondarily, women who run their own P&L/division in larger corporations are our next audience as they will contribute guidance and membership content to our business.

Men will be able to be members just as any woman can and the brand portfolio will need to reflect that.

We love elegant, mature, quirky, grown up designs. We love white space, clarity & clear thinking.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Blue, dated 80s images of business women, crowded fussy designs.
