FAQs

Give Back is crowdspring's way of helping worthy non-profit and charitable causes around the world when those organizations need design help but cannot afford it. For these special projects, no monetary awards will be given and crowdspring will waive all fees. Crowdspring will help each organization post their project. Together, we will collaborate to help those who are less fortunate.
Give Back projects will work just like standard projects, including contracts, wrap-up, notifications, etc.
We will find ways to recognize winning designers in Give Back projects.
We'll also ask the winning designers in Give Back projects to propose other worthy non-profits and charities that can benefit from this program. We hope that in this small way, crowdspring and our community can help non-profits and charities around the world.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
1. We are a global community of volunteers that think globally and act locally
2. Driven by social media and technology for good
3. Efforts support a variety of causes through awareness and fundraising
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
Image + text or text only. Text should be able to standalone. We are looking for a modern, fresh approach to our logo. More typography driven and less imagery. Twestival is not affiliated with Twitter, so we do not need to keep a bird reference. The logo will be used in print and digital - from large scale banners to small name tags.
Do you have any other info or links you want to share?
The Twestival logo should be designed in a way that is flexible enough to stand alone as a brand identity and customizable enough to be adapted to individual cities - making sure it remains consistent regardless of the different adaptations (For example, the name of the city should always be placed at the same place, in the same font size) We provide brand guidelines to organizing teams around the world who create localized logos (examples: http://twestival.tumblr.com) but we wish to be more uniform and consistent.
Here's a video that gives you some more background about Twestival.
And here's a short video that shows how Twestival has helped, focusing on "Miriam's Kitchen" in DC - a 28 year old homeless services agency.
This is a Give Back project, but in the spirit of Twestival, we wanted to do something nice on behalf of the winner to help a worthy cause. We will make a $500 donation in the name of the winner to the charity of the winner's choice (must be a registered nonprofit in good standing) and we will also make $50 donations to each of the four runners-up charities, on behalf of the winners. The top five designs will be decided through a public vote and the Twestival global team will select the final winner.
