Creative Brief

Who are you?

We are Core 3 Technologies, a small, but experienced distributor of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) computer networking products.

We work with value-added resellers to sell directly to government and corporate entities. Our product lines include routers, switches, servers, storage and multiple add-on components. We offer free configurations for all of our products. Brands that we sell include Cisco, HP, IBM, Emulex, Qlogic, Seagate and Sub Microsystems.

What do you need?

We need a logo/mark that refreshes our brand.

It should be clean, fresh, intelligent, modern and iconic, not stuffy, old or overbearing. The text, custom or not, should be well designed meaning the kerning should be consistent and letterforms legible. Funky, retro or futuristic type doesn't work for us either.

We want our audience to look at our logo and know exactly who we are and the industry we serve.

We like white, red, blue, green, black, orange - simple colors that feel classic, probably no more than 2 colors, maybe even just one color. Don't like yellow, pink, purple, turquoise, weird colors, pastels.

This logo will be used on our new website and will also be incorporated into other uses such as: stationary, business cards, software cd case, promotional mailings, etc.

Who Is Your Audience?

Our audience is a savvy group of purchasing managers, IT professionals, sales managers and senior executives.

Requirements

We Like These Examples

We want you to be creative and have as much creative freedom as possible. That being said, we like these examples, but don't let them guide you.

We Absolutely Must Have

Don't design anything near our current logo. See http://www.core3tech.com.

The logo should work on a white and black background. Please show both in your concepts.

Also, we would ideally like a simple brand guideline with the new logo. Should include details on specific colors and fonts used, along with different ways the logo could be presented.

Those are pretty loose guidelines. Be creative!
