LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

The church started out as the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Kenner, in the last 25 years weve grown from 12 to 1800 and now were looking to rebrand ourselves more regionally as the Vineyard Church of New Orleans (our vision is to have satellite campuses within the next one to two years). You can check out our old website at www.vcfk.com.

Our mission statement is, We want to make disciples who will live the way of Jesus, in missional community, announcing the arrival of the kingdom, and who will work for measurable change in the world. We believe that to be a disciple of Christ, you must move in these directions at the same time - Upward: Love God, Inward: Love Yourself & Others, Outward: Love the World. Everything we do here at the Vineyard uses these three components.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo will be used on everything - website, signage, print media, clothing, videos, dvd's, etc.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We are a modern, contemporary church. However, the congregation at our current facility is pretty diverse - age & income are pretty evenly stratified, females & males are about 1 to 1, and we have a growing minority attendance. However, as we mentioned earlier, we're looking to brand ourselves regionally in the city of New Orleans with satellite campuses throughout the city. With this in mind, we are trying to reach all people regardless of age, race, or income.

WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:

We like sleek, clean, simple designs. We have attached a few jpgs of some logos we like.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:

As a contemporary, modern church, we like sleek and clean design. We would shy away from the traditional Christian imagery in the logo (cross, dove, bible, etc) unless it was completely fresh. Our creative team here fooled around with the possibility of putting a fleur de lis in the logo, but we got stuck. If you choose to use a fleur de lis in the logo (which is not a requirement), you must know that since Hurricane Katrina (and the Saints winning the Super Bowl - WHO DAT!), everybody and their momma is putting a fleur de lis in their logo here in New Orleans, so it must be fresh.

As for what we need in the design, obviously the church name: Vineyard Church of New Orleans. We would like a logo that would have some sort of distinct symbol that would be able to stand by itself with no text, but would also work with the text. It would be nice to have a separate version of the logo (this is not a requirement) that would incorporate the directions mentioned above. (We developed some simple "arrow" icons for these directions and have uploaded the files.)

And finally, please, no grapes.
