Who are you?
We believe that God has called us to have a impact on the church and culture by taking back what rightly belongs to God the mind. We live in a time of anti-intellectualism, skepticism, and confusion. Our goal is to reclaim the mind by energizing the church providing resources for intellectual engagement.
Reclaiming the Mind Ministries was created to impact individuals, the church, and the culture with the glory of God and the majesty of Christ by presenting the truths of the Christian faith in a fair and balanced way. Whether taking classes through The Theology Program, reading the Parchment and Pen Blog, listening to Theology Unplugged, engaging with top Christian scholars on Converse with Scholars, or having a Luther Latte at our headquarters, the Credo House, in Edmond Oklahoma, the student will be encouraged to understand the issues at a profound level in order to make informed decisions on the most important topics of life.
We seek to fill the intellectual void that has become all too common in modern Christianity. We believe that we are commanded to love the Lord with our minds as well as our hearts (Matt. 22:37). This means that we use our minds well, honoring God in not only what we think, but the way we think.
We are both a content and event driven ministry. We provide both content and events that challenge the mind, educating people in the basics of systematic and historic theology. Here is a list of some of what we do:
* Offer a six course program of systematic theology called The Theology Program (TTP) that can be taken completely for free (learn more about it by visiting: http://www.reclaimingthemind.org).
* Produce a free weekly Internet radio podcast called Theology Unplugged (TUP).
* Host free online discussion with top Evangelical scholars through a program called Converse with Scholars (CWS) at the Credo House.
* A theology blog called Parchment and Pen which has contributions from many evangelical scholars who share in our vision(learn more about it by visiting: http://www.reclaimingthemind.org/blog).
* Provide resources and support for churches all over the world who use The Theology Program in their local setting.
What do you need?
We need a new logo for our ministry. The old logo is dated (even containing Papyrus font) and is primarily a text-based logo. We also want the logo to contain a symbol along with the text. We plan to use the symbol at times without the text (similar to Nike using the swoosh without the words Nike)
We'd like the logo to contain the words: Reclaiming the Mind Ministries AND also to have an image associated with it. We want the logo to be unique. Don't just throw a cross in front of the words. I'd love the logo, if possible, to convey: Christian and Mind while also giving an ancient-future feel. We spend a lot of time talking about things which happened in the 1-5th centuries...yet we are a pretty high-tech ministry doing a lot of live online events. We don't want the logo to feel dated, yet we want the logo to convey that we're grounded in history.
If possible I'd like to convey these things in a logo that feels simple.
A new website for our organization has already been designed. Here are some links to the new pages:
The new logo must fit with the new site we've developed. The logo will also appear on the packaging of our curriculum and in the videos we produce.
The logo can be color but must still look good in black & white as well.
Who Is Your Audience?
Our audience is primarily churches and individuals from around the world who are wanting to gain a theological foundation for their faith. Most of our audience is between 20-50 years old. We want our audience to gain the impression that we're very professional... a good response from the logo would be a feeling of classic and/or intellectual with a splash of modern. We want people to know that we're grounded in a historic faith that has lasted for thousands of years...but that we also get it. We're not so rooted in the past that we have lost touch with today. We are a high-tech organization in touch with popular culture.

We Absolutely Must Have
The words: Reclaiming the Mind Ministries
We also must have a symbol along with the text. We will use the symbol occasionally without the text (similar to Nike using the swoosh without the text Nike).
