LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Each One Save One is a non-profit organization dedicated to reversing the plight of children in our community through recruiting, training and supporting an army of volunteer mentors throughout the metropolitan area. Amidst the devastation of violence, drugs, teen pregnancy and crime in out community today, the future appears grim unless we, as individuals and corporations, act decisively to effect positive changes and offer concrete alternatives to this generation.
Each One Save One is an area-wide network whose purpose is to provide mentors for existing programs. Each One Save One also works with school districts and local government agencies to establish workable mentoring programs where none exist. The purpose of Each One Save One is to recruit, screen, train, and support mentors.
Mentors agree to serve one hour per week for one year. We currently work with over 100 mentors annually and hope to double our mentor pool by end of year.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are in real need of a new logo. We have been using the same logo since 1994. We are just getting back to full operation since Hurricane Katrina which devastated our offices and mentor pool. We want to update our presence and create a new identity. This will be a building block for other design projects we need.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target audience includes VOLUNTEERS who agree to work one-on-one with child in public school, DONORS that want to support mentoring as viable means to support our children and strengthen our community, and PARENTS and COMMUNITY residents interested that see value in our work.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like clean, bright and fresh designs. We are a program that serves kids from elementary to high school so we don't want something too childish but can reach a broad audience. It also doesnt' have to be a literal translation of our name either.
Designers can go to our website at www.eachonesaveone.org to see our current color scheme but we are OPEN to other 2-3 colors schemes and/or use of current color.
Our motto can be inclusive in design but is not a necessity. It is 'making a difference one child at a time'
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We do not want to see hands. We don't want to see trivial images like an overused fleur de lis.
