LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The Car Pipe is a start-up web-based company which has the identity of 'thecarpipe.com'. The business is aiming to provide an alternative to the already established on-line classified car sales websites in the UK.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that is 'of the moment' but one that will stand the test of time. It should be fun and funky with an edge rather than blue chip and corporate. It should be more appealing to the 17-45 year demographic.
We also have a preference for the logo to incorporate some sort of car-based graphic although this is not essential. Ideally this would be similar to say the characters in the Disney movie 'Cars' but must not be identfyable as a particular car manufacturer's product.
If we are fortunate enough to have a design that incoprporates a car logo we would want this to be strong enough in its design for the word logo and car logo to work independent of the other.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The target demographic of the site is approximately 50% 17-35 year olds, 25% 36-45 year olds, 10% 46-55 year olds and the remainder for 56 years and older. The site will be funky, fun and easy to understand and will be appealing to women just as much as men! Clearly we want to appeal to the majority demographic which is 17-45 year old men and women.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like anything that is well thought out and executed. Example identities we admire include: www.employgo.co.uk - for its obvious appeal to the younger demographic; innocent.com - for its simplicity, honesty and values; apple.com - for, well for all it is!; Nike, Converse, Virgin and Coca-cola - simple yet instantly recognisable.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We must have a design that uses the words 'the car pipe' and '.com'. However, they can be grouped in lower case or upper case or a mixture of the two. We have no preference of font or colours. If you are designing a car logo too, then this must compliment the font colour.
