LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Lazy Bones Barbecue is a new quick-casual restaurant concept with its mission to update the traditional smoky barbecue pit with a dose of freshness, hipness, and culinary creativity. Our first outlet is a 2400sqft. space with stained cement floors, exposed ceilings, brick and raw metal accents.

We would like our otherwise corporate restaurant to feel like a place the funky/artsy/hipster couple might have opened. We will have chalkboards for our overhead menus, the text of which will reflect our logo colors.

Lazy Bones menu will feature the flavors of traditional apple-smoked ribs, brisket, and chicken, but will also offer grilled salmon, barbecue tofu slabs, and over 13 traditional and non-traditional sides like honey-ginger slaw, grilled vegetable skewers, vegan gluten-free mac-n-chese, and lentil-almond salad to give our guests more options for a healthier yet still delicious meal.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Looking for an artful, high-impact logo that is professional but also somehow has a handmade quality.

The logo will be used for channel letter exterior sign, website, t-shirts and takeout menus. Would also like to be able to cut it out of steel for interior dcor element.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

30-40 somethings who want traditional flavors packaged in a funky, fresh, healthier way.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Smokeybones.com, Tossed.com, Perios restaurant (from croudspring), current Lazy Bones logo (attached). Would be very interested in a reworked, or just polished version of our current logo, but will also like to see some completely different ideas.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Would like black or other dark color for background. Please avoid all stereotypical barbecue design elements like pigs, wagon wheels, cowboys, etc. If an artful use of smoke or ribs can be done successfully, fine, but would probably lean away from that. Text only will probably be best.
