What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Rolling Plains Nature School

What is your industry?

Education and Universities

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

Expansive: The natural world isn't gone. Urban landscapes aren't the only landscapes. Large tracts of impressive wildlands still exist.

Adventure: Exploring the natural world is exciting, and often stems from childhood.

Experiential Learning: The best way to learn is to dig in and get dirty.

We want the customers to understand that the natural world offers beauty, mystery, and lots of enjoyable learning opportunities. I would like to logo to look more professional rather than childlike.

What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)

We definitely prefer image + text.

We have had a hard time deciding between an emblem and a combination mark. We like the flexibility of the combination mark, but we like the clean lines of the emblem.

We love seeing the layers of wild land. And we like earthy colors. We also like clean lines and borders.

Here are some logos we like:

Do you have any other info or links you want to share?

Rolling Plains Nature School will offer weekly nature classes to children stuck in school buildings. Children will also be taught in local parks with lots of hands on time in nature. Topics will focus on nature, wildlife, science, and conservation. Our mission is to connect children to nature to create a better quality of life.

The Rolling Plains is one of 10 ecoregions of Texas. Most of our lessons will focus on the floral or fauna of this particular region. Accurately portraying this region in the logo is of the upmost importance.

We think we would prefer to see gently rolling hills of native grasses; maybe bisected by a small stream. Local fauna would be nice, but we don't want the logo to be too busy.
