LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
MoreConference is an exciting new web product for delegates at conferences and events.
From the moment they book their place at the conference, delegates will be able to start connecting with one another. They will be able to use MoreConference to:
*Identify other delegates that they want to meet at the event through their profiles
*Promote their work, share their ideas and start a conversation on the discussion board or by private message
*Post to the discussion board and contact other delegates on the day of the conference through their smart phone (e.g. iPhone), over Twitter or by SMS/text
*Use the site to continue the conversation after the event and contact anyone they missed.
For organisers, planners and venues, MoreConference will help delegates get the most from the conference and demonstrate the value of the event to the sponsors.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a design for the MoreConference logo. This should be based on the word MoreConference (one word).
If you need inspiration, the tag line for the site will be: The Best Way to Connect People. This tag line should not be included in the logo.
The logo should be clear and have a strong idea. Here is what the logo should try and convey: approachable, personable, business-like, human, trustworthy, confident, uncomplicated.
The logo will be shown on most pages on the website in the top left hand corner. It will usually be displayed on a white background.
We will also display it on mobile screens so it needs to scale down to that size without loss. It may also be printed in colour and in black and white on physical handouts.
We would prefer the logo to be rectangular (i.e. wide and not tall) rather than square in shape. The website design will follow the logo design and may use some of the same colours, so please pick appropriate ones.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The average delegate is 38 and about two-thirds are male. Users of the site will be professionals in either the private or public sector. One of the key reasons for booking a place at the conference is to meet people, as well as to hear the speakers and presentations.
In the corporate sector, many events are for training, management meetings, making sales or launching products. The main industries in the corporate sector are financial services, pharmaceutical, IT/computing and manufacturing. In the association sector conferences can be for fundraising, education, technical presentations, or regular member communication.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
None in particular.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
We dont want any designs which feature lots of people shaking hands or performing other clichd conference/event actions. There are a whole load of sites out there which have stale stock photos of business meetings and we are keen to differentiate ourselves from those.
We dont want lots of overkill about the technological aspect of the product (e.g. access on your smartphone, twitter etc). Although this is a key component, the main point is that the technology supports the conversation rather than competing with it. So no Twitter birds please.
