What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?
We want to incorporate modern design elements specific to this audience. It needs to be applicable on the website, email, and smaller banners. Depth, motion, symmetry, lighting and color, will be important aspects to the design.
It should invoke the imagination and interest of the viewer. Meaning you should want to wear it on a t-shirt. We have a younger, popular culture audience interested in urban fashion, modern street art, popular music, motion/dance, and the projection of creativity and personal style. They should be drawn to our imagery and want to associate them self with our brand.
It should appeal to both male and female as well as kids and young adults.
What logo styles do you like (image + text, image only, text only, etc.)
We are looking for an image/mark + text combination. We would like the image/mark and the text to be able to be used individually and together. They should be able to stand on their own. The image should include the abbreviated name "YCMC". This does not and should probably not be a dominant aspect of the image, but integrated into it smoothly and just not hidden. The text will be " Your City My City"

We have include several sample images that portray the youthful, modern art and style we were thinking of. It is not mandatory to adhere to these styles but they certainly posses many of the elements we we think we would like to see. We are aware that some times simple is better so if you have a great idea don't be afraid to pursue it.
We have been in business for over 60 years with over 30 retail locations. This design may end up in use in this forum as well.
