LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are setting up a campaign for our client who will be running for a local mayor's race sometime in the future. He is a young, talented, and very tech savvy candidate who will run in a very small town in the deep south. He currently serves his community in the oldest family owned business in town. His trademark style includes a bow tie. We mention this because it could be included in this logo, but because it can sometimes have a negative connotation - it may be just as wise to go without for this logo. We will leave that decision up to the designers.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a campaign logo that would possibly include some type of mark for branding purposes. It should be clean, conservative, patriotic, and reflect that the campaign is for mayor.
Some example sites of logos we find ourselves drawn to would be:
rileyformayor.com We like the use of the one name as far as branding for the site. Because the candidate has a simple, readable, and recognizable name, it may be the path we would like to see for this logo.
We would like to have a vector file that could be used across multiple forms of media. Specifically it will first be used for stationary, web, and more importantly signage.

Only in case you're even more curious, you can also check these sites for more background as to what he does.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Voters. We will run a hard tech campaign, but must appeal to all voters. This district is an even split of young & old voters, and is also racially evenly split. We want to send the message that our candidate has chosen to live and serve in this town forever.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Traditional political colors or Red, Blue are great. We may even entertain using tertiary colors such as green?
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
sophomoric and average designs. If you've seen it before, it probably won't fly with us. We like the fact that the Obama mark is so popular, so set your imagination on fire and help us find a mark of our own!
