Manna Pro is a manufacturer of horse nutrition and specialty products including Feed, Treats, Supplements, and Fly Control products. Our brand is well known in the industry and we hold the market leadership position in Horse Treats which has been confirmed by both independent and internal consumer surveys. The type of horse owner that we target is referred to as the Hobby Farmer. They own horses for either competitive purposes (barrel racing, western, jumping, dressage, etc.) or simply as pets. They spend a large amount of their disposable income on their horses and treat them as members of their family. These are individuals who live close to major cities but enjoy the rural lifestyle. HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
To leverage our leadership in the Horse Treats market, Manna Pro needs both an umbrella Manna Pro Horse Treats logo AND a tagline to go with it that reinforces our leadership position to the consumer (Americas Favorite Horse Treats, etc.) The logo and tagline will be used on our current treats packaging, signage, collateral, clothing, and on our website.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target consumer is female and between the ages of 25 and 40 years old. She treats her horses as pets and members of her family. Similar to how treats are used with dogs, a horse treat can be used to reward good behavior, in training situations, but is most often used to enhance the bond between horse and rider. All of our packages show images of women sharing this special treating moment with their good and trusted friend.
Manna Pro has several treat brands in our portfolio which include Apple Wafers, Bite-Size Nuggets, FlaxSnax, HoofSnax, Stable Gourmet, Apple Blasts and Carrot Blasts. Each brand targets a specific consumer segment. For example, Apple Wafers are for consumers who buy based on value while Stable Gourmet is targeted towards consumers that want a gourmet treat and are willing to pay for it. Given the range of consumer types the logo and tagline should appeal to a broad audience (ie. It shouldnt say Value but it shouldnt say Super-premium either).
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Manna Pro prefers more impactful designs that use color wisely. The design should speak to the consumer from an emotional appeal standpoint. The logo should scream warmth, friendship, and caring and should appeal to an Equestrian. Please consult the package design of the brands listed above at www.mannapro.com to get an idea of our style.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The logo must include the Manna Pro logo, which is attached. Our company colors are 185 red and reflex blue and the Manna Pro portion of the logo should stick with these colors OR it could be treated in all blue or all red. In combination with the logo, the words Horse Treats should be used so that the logo copy reads Manna Pro Horse Treats. However, feel free to experiment with different layouts (Ie. Horse Treats stacked, etc.). While the Manna Pro logo is red & blue, the Horse Treats copy does not have to be, it is completely up to you. We suggest also incorporating some imagery (icon, illustration, etc.) of a horse but would avoid any breed specific images so that the horse image appeals to both English and Western riders. The assignment is also to create a tagline that can be used with the logo. It should clearly tell the consumer that Manna Pro Horse Treats are the #1 choice of horse owners. Try to use 6 words or less.
Try to avoid technical feeling or pharmaceutical designs. The majority of our packaging uses jewel tones so neons should be avoided.
